Rector: Reverand Connie Gordon |
||
In the summer of 2007 the vestry called Connie Gordon to be the new rector of St. Paul’s following the retirement of the much loved Rev. Nina Stasser. Connie begins as rector on October 1, 2007. Connie is a 2005 graduate of the School of Theology in Sewanee, TN. She served the school as sacristan and as a student, served The Church of the Good Shepherd on Lookout Mountain, TN for two years. Following graduation Connie served as curate, Deacon in Charge, and then Rector at St. Barnabas in Tooele, UT. Connie’s ministry specialty is church growth and church planting as she worked with the Diocese of UT to study the viability of a new church in the Diocese. At St. Paul’s she will work toward continuity of the mutual ministries and to encourage and empower lay ministries. Connie moves here with her husband, James and their two lovely daughters, Heather-Mariah and Rachael Nicole. Connie and James have been married for 20 years and lived for many years in Moab, UT. The Gordon family has been in the Diocese of Utah for many years, and in fact celebrates 5 generations of Episcopalians in Utah. The family has a love of animals and enjoys fishing and hiking in Utah’s beautiful countryside. Connie and James also enjoy gardening. The Gordon family looks forward to making the Uintah basin their home and looks forward to getting to know the people of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. |
